The exhaust gas outlet, e.g. of a central heating boiler, passes through a building wall, and prevents so-called down draught. Construction includes inner and outer tubular sections which are eccentrically positioned w.r.t. each other. Building wall includes a hole through which the outer tubular section passes in a slight outward sloping position. Inner tubular section is eccentrically positioned, and passes through the outer tubular section. Inner section slopes slightly inwards. At a wind speed of 12 m/sec. vertical to the wall, and when the boiler is not operating, the pressure difference between the air inlet and exhaust gas outlet is minimal.
|
