PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive superconductive ceramic having a few voids and high TCO, by blending a compound of two or more elements selected from yttrium group with a compound of Ra, Ba, Sr, Ca or Mg and a Cu compound, pressurizing, calcining, pulverizing, repressurizing and calcining. CONSTITUTION:Given amounts of each fine powder of oxides or carbonates of two or more elements A selected from Y, Gd, Yb, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Lu, Sc and other lanthanoids, an oxide or carbonate of element B selected from Ra, Ba, Sr, Ca or Mg and copper oxide or carbonate as starting raw materials are collected. Then the powder is mixed, tableted, calcined in the atmosphere at 500-1,000 deg.C, ground into <=10mu average particle diameter, tableted under 50kg/cm<2> pressure, heated, press molded, oxidized at 500-1,000 deg.C in the atmosphere and calcined to give superconductive ceramic shown by the formula (x=0-1; y=2.0-4.0; z=1.0-4.0; w=4.0-10.0). |
