PURPOSE:To increase a specific resistance without deteriorating supportability and fixedness of a superconductive filament and to improve thermal characteristics by forming a diamond coating layer on a surface of the superconductive filament or a filament bundle. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer of a diamond 2 is formed on a surface of a superconductive filament or a filament bundle 1. The coating layer of the diamond 2 is formed by dissolving/removing a metallic matrix layer of a metallic matrix superconductive wire in nitric acid or the like and next performing a plasma CVD method, a laser CVD method, a PVD method, or the like in the form of a single core or a filament bundle. When diamond coating of a crystalline material excellent in the coefficient of heat-transfer is performed in this case, cooling characteristics in the vicinity of a normal temperature become superior, however, when an amorphous diamond whose coating can be performed at a low temperature is used rather, it becomes most suitable because superconductive characteristics are not almost thermally deteriorated. Accordingly, a specific resistance of the whole wire and its coefficient of heat- transfer can be increased.
