PURPOSE:To reduce noise, by providing slits on both sides to nip a connecting point circumferentially between a connecting member of a soundproofing cover and a frame. CONSTITUTION:A soundproofing cover 25 is circular-arc-shaped, arrange so as to be surrounded between the frame 21 of a body 20 of a rotary electric machine at a definite interval, and fixed to a mounting hole 27 of the frame 21 with fixing bolts 28 of the connecting member. A radially long slits 29 are formed in advance to the soundproofing cover 25 and situated at both sides to pinch each through hole of the fixing bolts 28 circumferentially approaching. Electromagnetic vibration of the rotary electric machine 20 tends to be propagated in the circumferential direction of the soundproofing cover 25 through the mounting hole 27 and fixing bolts 28. However, as the soundproofing cover 25 is separated from the circumferential parts 25a, 25b and 25c as vibration-line with slits 29, propagation is interrupted. No film vibration or resonance phenomenon of the soundproofing cover 25 will thereby be produced by the interrupting effect of dissipation of noise with the slits 29 and the extended noise and secondary propagation of noise can be reduced remarkably.
