发明名称 DYNAMIC FRICTION FACTOR MEASURING APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure a dynamic friction factor accurately under conditions close to those in an actual tape running system, by making a tape on a rotary drum slide in contact with a dynamic friction factor measuring mechanism having a magnetic head or the like to detect horizontal and vertical pressure components. CONSTITUTION:A tape is wound on the circumference of a rotary drum 11 and rotated with a motor 13. A dynamic friction coefficient measuring mechanism 15 is provided as opposed to the tape. The measuring mechanism 15 is made up of a permanent magnet 18 and a magnetic head 19 mounted on a plate spring 17 and additionally, a magnetic sensor 21 mounted on a support plate 20. Then, the tape is turned to be kept sliding in contact with the magnetic head 19. Here, a horizontal pressure component F receiving by the magnetic head 19 is detected with a pressure detector section 24. A vertical pressure component W is detected with the permanent magnet 18 and the magnetic sensor 21. In this manner, a dynamic friction factor mu(=horizontal pressure component F/vertical pressure component W) is determined. Thus, the horizontal and vertical pressure components of the magnetic head are detected thereby enabling accurate measurement of a dynamic friction factor under the conditions the same as those in a type running state of an actual VTR running system.
