PURPOSE:To enable smooth power transmission, by connecting a joint in a gap with rocking swash plate to a fixed shaft via a center in and to the joint support member tightly attached to the rocking swash plate via a joint arm extending in the orthogonal direction, respectively free of rotation. CONSTITUTION:In an interspace between a rocking swash plate 100 and a fixed shaft 30, there is provided with the joint support member 20 tightly attached to a joint 40 and this rocking swash plate 10, and this joint 40 is connected to the fixed shaft 30 free of rotation via a center in 41, and also connected to the joint support member 20 free of rotation via a joint arm extending in the orthogonal direction with the center pin 41. And, when each piston rod 2 reciprocates, the rocking swash plate 10 rocks, whereby a wedge type rotor 5 and a main shaft 4 both are smoothly rotated. In this connection, when it is used for a compressor, operation is carried out in reverse to the above- mentioned. Thus, since there is no use of gears, a mechanical loss in power is very small and, what is more, no noise is emitted, and smooth power transmission is performable.
