PURPOSE:To decide the landing speed of a magnetic head by providing plural arm parts different in length from the central axis of a rotation to an engaging part with a magnetic head driving arm in a landing speed switching arm and engaging the desired arm part with the driving arm at the time of assembling. CONSTITUTION:The landing speed switching arm 7 is connected to a damper mechanism through the central axis 8 of the rotation etc., and rotates around the central axis of the rotation. The landing speed switching arm 7 is provided with the three sets of the arms having the different length such as l1-l3 from the central axis 8 of the rotation to the engaging part of and external end. The arm with which the driving arm A is engaged is decided at the time of assembling. When the arm is engaged with the driving arm A, the landing speed switching arm 7 is driven around the central axis 8 of the rotation to softly land the magnetic head according to the damping operation of a damper mechanism connected to the landing speed switching arm 7. Thereby, the landing speed to the magnetic disk medium of the magnetic head can be selected.
