PURPOSE:To shorten the transfer distance and to obtain a transfer recording image having good transfer efficiency and image quality, by rotating a recording body impregnated with ink and heating a pressure contacting portion between the recording body and a pressure contact member or the vicinity thereof through a recording head according to an image signal. CONSTITUTION:A recording body 2 is rotated synchronously with the carrying of a recording paper 7, and a recording image signal is fed to a recording head 5 synchronously with the rotation. Heat is transmitted to an inner layer 2a of the recording member 2 so as to fuse ink 1 or decrease the viscosity thereof thus forming an ink image 22 corresponding to heating on an outer layer 2b. The ink layer 22 moves as the recording member 2 rotated, then pressed at a pressure contact section A and transferred into the recording paper 7. Since a heating element 5b is positioned near the pressure contact section A, a thermal image corresponding to an image pattern is formed more clearly onto the recording paper 7, resulting in the improvement of transfer performance and thermal efficiency. |
