PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous remote control due to wrong memory of numerals or symbols or wrong depression of a pushbutton by selecting one of control items according to the storage content of the storage circuit and outputting the result externally when a PB signal detection circuit detects a special numeral or a symbol. CONSTITUTION:A caller depresses a pushbutton to send a PB signal. A subscriber's equipment of the called party uses a detection circuit 4 to detect the PB signal and identifies it to store a corresponding numeral or symbol to a storage circuit 5 tentatively. The caller listens to a message and confirms the control items to desire to apply remote control, and depresses the pushbutton again to send a special numeral or symbol corresponding to the control output command. The special number or symbol is detected by the PB signal detection circuit 4, which activates a control output circuit 7 thereby selecting the control items corresponding to the numeral or symbol stored tentatively in the storage circuit 5 to output external control outputs 8, 8', 8''.... Thus, erroneous remote control is prevented.
