PURPOSE:To unnecessitate the performance of both hot pressing and die upsetting by a method wherein the material to be used for an anisotropic permanent magnet, consisting of a ribbon-like thin strip, is obtained by feeding the melted metal of rare-earth-iron alloy between the twin rolls where specific force is applied. CONSTITUTION:When the material to be used for a permanent magnet, consisting of rare earth-iron alloy, is formed by performing a super-quenching method using twin rolls in the state wherein, against one roll 1, other roll 2 is pressed by the force of 300 kgf or more by the repulsive force of an elastic body 3, an anisotropic permanent magnet material 6 is obtained from between the twin rolls 1 and 2 when melted metal 4 of rare earth-iron alloy is fed from a nozzle 5. As a result, an anisotropic permanent magnet can be obtained without performing a hot pressing work or a die upsetting. |
