An electrical plug contact part is proposed which consists essentially of a connecting region (which is provided for connection to an electrical cable), a contact region (which is adjacent thereto and is provided for accommodating a mating contact part) and an additional spring. In order that both the sprung contact arms and the spring arms of the additional spring contribute to passing on electrical and thermal energy, the sprung contact arms and the spring arms of the additional spring are constructed and arranged in such a manner that both the sprung contact arms and the spring arms of the additional spring come into direct contact with the mating contact part which is to be inserted.
