Hydraulic brake system with brake slip control

A brake system for a brake with slip control is presented. For safety reasons, brake systems of this type should be provided with a return device for the master cylinder so that, should the hydraulic supply fail during slip control, a volume of pressure medium sufficient for the normal braking then necessary is available in the master cylinder. This problem is solved in that a reserve volume chamber (35) is formed, which is defined by a piston (33). The piston (33) is acted upon by the pressure in the booster chamber (14) as soon as slip control commences. The pressure medium in the chamber (35) is then displaced into the working chamber (5) or (6) by way of the non-return valve (41) or (42). This reserve volume is then available for normal braking should the slip control be put out of operation during a control sequence. <IMAGE>
