PURPOSE:To reduce the space of setting by a method in which the push-up mechanism of a tide gate to prevent the intrusion of water from the inlet of a building during a flood is set in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the gate. CONSTITUTION:A case 2 is buried in the floor 1 of the inlet of a building and a tide board 3 turnable around the shaft 7 is attached to the case 2. A drive unit 9 incorporated with a drive motor is set in the case 2, and a screw 13 to be turned by the unit 9 is set in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the board 3, and screwed with a nut 16a. The nut 16a is connected to the back side of the board 3 through universal joints 23a and 23b and a push-up lever 21. Since the lever 21 can be set in parallel with the board 3, the space for housing the lever 21 can be reduced.
