Animal fodder prepd. mainly from sugar mill byproducts contains raw sugar-beet slices and fresh molasses, pref. mixed in the mill while the molasses is still warm. Fibrous corn stalks and/or straw and/or similar fibrous material may be opt. added. It is pref. to add at least part of the fibrous matter to the molasses contg. mix immediately before feeding.
