PURPOSE:To expand the range in the applied frequency while suppressing the reduction in on-load Q0 by providing a dielectric substance suitable for the center frequency in response to a desired frequency band to the tip of a center frequency setting screw of the band and using a screw with various dielectric substance so as to adjust the center frequency 0 of the band. CONSTITUTION:The screw 4 with dielectric substance is formed by bonding dielectric substances 21, 22... made of the same material and whose length is varied stepwise to the tip of a conventional metallic screw 1. In inserting the screw to a position where a prescribed electric filed of a rectangular waveguide 6 is maximum or its vicinity, the center frequency f0 of the band is decreased depending on the size of the dielectric substances 21, 22..., and the length of the metallic screw place within the rectangular waveguide 6 varied thereby varying the frequency f0 continuously. Moreover, the decrease in the Q0 due to the change in the f0 is affected by the Q of the inserted dielectric substance 21, 22..., but the decrease is very slight in using a material with less dielectric loss.
