<p>PURPOSE:To maintain stabilized denitrifying and dephosphorizing performance irrespective of the variation in the concn. of waste water by repeating the non-aeration and aeration three times and stopping the first and second aerations based on the value measured by an NH4-N densitometer. CONSTITUTION:The non-aeration and aeration are repeated to biologically treat waste water, the sludge is then settled, and the supernatant is discharged. In this case, the first aeration is stopped when the concn. of the ammoniacal nitrogen is decreased to 30-70% of the initial concn., and the second aeration is stopped when the concn. is reduced to 5%. As a result, stabilized denitrifying and dephosphorizing performance can be maintained irrespective of the variation in the concn. of waste water.</p> |
