PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of missing print immediately after reprinting by moving back a printing interrupted part of paper by some value when printing data is received again after interruption of printing and resuming printing after correction of paper position. CONSTITUTION:A control part 21 sets the number of pulses equivalent to the rotational value of a paper feed motor 1 to a counter 22, permitting subtraction corresponding to received printing data. If transfer of the printing data is interrupted, the control part 21 interrupts subtraction by the counter 22, stopping the motor 1. If printing data is received again, a printing head 15 is moved upward. At the same time, the motor 1 is allowed to rotate and thereby paper 10 is fed in (A) direction by several lines, after which the motor 1 is stopped. The control part 21 adds the number of pulses equivalent to these several lines to the previous value and then allows the printing head 15 to come downward. With the subtraction started, the motor 1 is permitted to rotate to move the paper 5 is (B) direction. If the value of the counter 22 is restored to a value as the subtraction is interrupted, printing is allowed to start. Thus blanking in printing is preventable. |
