PURPOSE:To remarkably simplify transmitting operations to a specific destination, by making automatically dialing transmission to the destination registered in a memory when no manual operations are started within a fixed time after an original is set on an original placing table. CONSTITUTION:When an original setting detecting section 12 detects that an original is set, a timer 13 measures a fixed time. If a communication switch and ten keys/one-touch keys are depressed within the fixed time, the timer 13 stops its operation and communication is started. When such functional operations are not started, a specific number is read out and an automatic dialing circuit 9a makes an automatic call following an automatic calling procedure. Therefore, automatic calling becomes possible to a specific destination when an original is set on an original placing table without making any key operation and the original transmitting operation to the specific destination is remarkably simplified.
