PURPOSE:To obtain a homogenous and clear picture quality by one time of scanning input of an original, by designating the areas of light and dark parts of the original when the light and dark parts mixedly exist on the original and previously designating the density of printing in such a way that darker density is designated to the light parts and lighter density is designated to the darker parts. CONSTITUTION:When an area and density of an original 2 are designated from an area module 13 which is constituted by using ten keys and a keyboard, coordinate data of the area are stored in each of registers 14-21 of a CPU section 4 in accordance with an X-Y coordinate system. Regarding the density, density information of dense, light, etc., is stored in register-I 22 and register-J 23. At the CPU section 4, register-K 24 which stores density information to be set in a density setting processing section 3 is provided. Whether or not the numerical values of the areas T1 and T2 of the original 2 designated from the area input module 13 coincide with count values of a main-scanning-direction counter 8 and auxiliary-scanning-direction counter 10 is discriminated at the CPU section 4 and when they coincide with each other, the designated density information is sent to the density setting processing section 3. At the section 3, a threshold value is set in accordance with the density information and analog electric signals from an image sensor 1 are detected. |
