PURPOSE:To issue a stopping command irrespective of the speed of a CPU and a line by counting a time from an information field terminating point to the terminating point of a termination flag and issuing the stopping command of a transmission request signal after completing counting. CONSTITUTION:When a point l at the time of completing transmission only in a data part can be informed and a point m at the time of transmitting a following FCS and the termination flag can not be informed in case of transmitting to the line through a MODEM 4, a timer 5 is made to start after receiving the point at the time of starting a timer and the value of a parameter from the CPU 1 and a clock which is the unit of one character is read from the MODEM. And at the time of passing the timer having bite lengths by the number shown by the value of the parameter, an interruption is made to be executed to the CPU 1 so as to make an RS signal in an off-state. Thus, the software of the CPU can equally indicate the timing of OFF of an RS signal, which is a MODEM signal, to the MODEM irrespective of the speed of the CPU and the speed of the line.
