A known conveyor belt, which is endless and runs over support rolls and turning rolls for the transportation of relatively light objects, consists of a woven fabric made of longitudinal filaments (1, 2) and cross-wise monofilaments. Such a conveyor belt is improved and offers a better runability and wear resistance by that at least the cross-wise filaments consists of flat or oval yarns (3) or yarns formed in a different way, where the ratio between width and height of the cross-section is at least 1.5. |
