PURPOSE:To produce crystallized glass having an uneven pattern by a flat retaining member and to reduce cost, by placing a sheet material having unevenness on the surface on a member to hold a glass material, placing the glass material on the sheet material and heating. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material having unevenness on the surface is placed on a member to hold a glass material. The glass material is placed on the sheet material, heated and crystallized. In the operation, a releasing agent is laid between glass and the holding part to prevent bonding. The sheet material consists of pulpy plant fibers and the protruded part of the sheet material is packed with the fibers.
