PURPOSE:To determine hydrogen peroxide with high sensitivity by using the imidazole deriv. expressed by specific formula as a color forming component. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid for a reagent layer contg. uricase, the compd. expressed by formula, and peroxidase is coated on a colorless transparent polyethylene terephthalate film having an under coating layer of gelatin and is dried. The reagent layer is then moistened with water and a cellulose acetate membrane filter is laminated and integrated as a porous developing layer thereon to prepare a multi-layered chemical analysis element for determination of uric acid. A sample is spotted onto the porous developing layer of such analysis element and the reflected light is measured at about 670nm from the polyethylene terephthalate film side to determine the concn. of the uric acid. Since the compd. expressed by formula is extremely stable as chromogen, the measurement with the high accuracy is permitted.
