PURPOSE:To enable the adjustment of a spring with respect to change in cutting reaction force without replacing said spring by pressing a movable holder by the acting force of an elastic body via a piston and adjusting the pressure of a fluid applied to said piston to change the pressing force. CONSTITUTION:The spring 9 in a fixed holder 1 is brought into contact with a flange 5 depressing a piston 8 bringing a contact piece 10 into contact with the flange 4c of a movable holder 4 to press it with a uniform force. Thereby, when a floating quantity becomes large, the pressing force becomes large in proportion to the spring constant of the spring 9. When air is made flow in from the air inlet 1e of a fixed holder 1, the air is distributed to the bottom face of a piston 8 through a flow-in port 1d and a groove 6a, acting a force reverse to the acting force of the spring 9 weakening its pressing force. As a result, it is possible to adjust the pressing force without stages from a heavy cutting with a large cutting reaction force to a small cutting with a small cutting reaction force in accordance with use without need for replacing the spring 9. |
