It comprises a fork 2 which has pointed and plane branches 3, the fork 2 being movable with respect to a shaft 7 between an initial position, in which the branch 3 has its plane face in the plane of the longitudinal axis of the shaft 7, and a final position, in which the branch 3 has its plane face forming an angle with the longitudinal axis of the shaft 7. The device also includes means for immobilising the fork 2 in the initial position and, optionally, means for immobilising the fork 2 in the final position, it being possible for these means to be formed by stops 8, 9 formed by a window made in a plate 14 integral with the shaft 7. A spring R returns the fork 2 towards its initial position. Application to the repair of damage caused by a golf ball. <IMAGE>
