The invention relates to a dynamic joint 7 which is to be mounted on a conventional railway bogie (1) and permits wagons or semi-trailers (28), particularly shaped, to be coupled so as to form a train. The dynamic joint 7 comprises a box shaped member 6 which is articulated on the railway bogie about the vertical pivot 24 of the latter. A longitudinal sliding arm 14 acting against an elastic cushioning unit 16 is guided by a retaining member 11, pivotally mounted about a vertical pivot 10 in the box 6. Extensions or forks 20 of the arm are connected to the fore structure of a semi-trailer by a pair of retractible pivots 22, extending transversely. The rear structure of the following semi-trailer is connected to a pair of pivots 24 with horizontal transverse axes which are arranged on the side of the box 6. The joint can execute vertical or horizontal angular displacements, and each semi-trailer is provided with such a frame that it is possible to employ the semi-trailer itself either as a railway vehicle or a road vehicle. To this end, the semi-trailer is provided with fore and rear seats in which the coupling parts of the joint (7) are housed. <IMAGE>
