PURPOSE:To inject fuel in a good takeover manner, by setting each valve opening pressure of a pressure regulating check valve in a main fuel supply system, check valve in a subfuel supply system and a fuel injection valve so as to satisfy a specific relation, in the case of an engine which is operated by main fuel of low cetane number and subfuel of high cetane number. CONSTITUTION:Main fuel in a main fuel tank 1 is introduced to a pump chamber of a main fuel injection pump main unit 3 by a supply oil pump 2, here the pressurized main fuel is supplied to a fuel injection pump 40 through a delivery valve 6 and an injection pipe 8. While subfuel in a subfuel tank 19 is supplied to an oil reservoir part 12 by a supply oil pump 18 through an injection amount control valve 16 and a check valve 13 in the fuel injection valve 40. A pressure regulating check valve 7 is provided in parallel with the delivery valve 6. While an engine controls the injection amount control valve 16 by a control unit 20 obtaining an adequate feed amount of the subfuel and its adequate feed timing. Further when symbols PR, PP, PO are assumed respectively for valve opening pressure of the pressure regulating check valve 7, check valve 13 and the fuel injection valve 40, the valve opening pressure is set so that a relation where PR<PP<PO is obtained. |
