PURPOSE:To obtain a microporous film having excellent properties, by forming a composition consisting of a resin crosslinkable by electron rays, etc., a specific organic liquid substance and solvent into a film, removing the solvent, irradiating the film with electron rays, etc., and removing the above-mentioned organic liquid substance. CONSTITUTION:A composition consisting of (A) a resin, crosslinkable by electron or ultraviolet rays and having >=5,000 number-average molecular weight, preferably epoxy acrylate having >=2 (meth)acryl groups in one molecule, etc., (B) an organic liquid substance, unreactive with electron or ultraviolet rays, separating a phase from the component (A) and moderately compatible and miscible therewith (e.g. dimethyl phthalate) and (C) a solvent homogeneously dissolving the components (A) and (B) (e.g. acetone) is formed into a film and the solvent (C) is removed to cause phase separation of the components (A) and (B). The film is then irradiated with electron rays or ultraviolet rays to three- dimensionally crosslink and cure the component (A). The component (B)is subsequently extracted and removed with an organic solvent or water to afford the aimed microporous film.
