PURPOSE:To perform the fermentation or defrost in a short time by rejecting and indicating the rejection of the operation of a control key if the temperature inside the heating chamber is not appropriate for the foodstuff when a key for either fermentation or defrost is operated, and causing the fan motor to rotate without burning at a gas burner. CONSTITUTION:A program is incorporated into a micro computer 15. Upon turning on the power switch, the program is initialized. When either the fermentation or defrost key is pressed, the temperature in the heating chamber 12 is always monitored by a sensor 20 in accordance with the command from the micro computer 15, and a judgment is made as to whether the temperature in the heating chamber 15 is higher or lower than the set temperature. If the temperature in the heating chamber 12 is higher than the set temperature, HOT is indicated on the display, and the burner is caused to stop and the fan motor to rotate. Then, a judgment is made as to whether the temperature in the heating chamber 12 is lower than the set temperature, and, if it is in fact lower, the HOT display is cancelled, and the fan motor is caused to stop to return to the normal condition.
