PURPOSE:To enable the application of a high voltage without the electric charge concentration in a conductor layer, by forming a thick part on the peripheral part of the conductor layer which is buried into a dielectric layer. CONSTITUTION:A thick part 7c is formed on a peripheral pert of a conductor layer 7 of an electrode for laser use where the conductor layer 7 is buried into a dielectric layer 6. For example, a groove of 0.01-0.2 mm in depth is formed in width of 0.1-1.0 mm by the use of a metallic mold or the like in a region corresponding to the peripheral part of the conductor layer 7 in a dielectric powder molded item which is formed by a tape molding method or the like end made of alumina or the like, and a conductor is formed in the groove by a screen printing method so as to become a projecting strip 7b. Next, the conductor is formed to be 0.01-0.1 mm in desired thickness over the whole surface corresponding to the conductor layer 7 by the screen printing method, and it is unified with the projecting strip 7b, so that the conductor layer 7 is formed. Further, the powder molded item is piled thereon and pressed and sintered for unification, so that a creeping discharge electrode 5, in which the thick part 7c is formed from the projecting strip 7b with a curved surface- shaped peripheral surface, is manufactured. |
