PURPOSE:To make a heater for heating a compressor unnecessary by a method wherein the compressor is heated by heat generated in the coil of a motor upon starting to evaporate refrigerant resolved into lubricating oil, thereafter, the compressor is rotated at a normal rotation. CONSTITUTION:When an operating switch is thrown, an output frequency OC/ S or D.C. current from an electric source frequency converter 5 is impressed to the motor 6 of the compressor 1. When the D.C. current is flowed through the motor 6, the motor 6 does not rotate and is heated. Then, heat from the motor 6 heats an enclosed vessel 7 and heats the lubricating oil 8. Accordingly, seizing of respective sliding parts of the compressor 1 due to insufficient refrigerant may be prevented upon the beginning of the operation of the compressor 1 and, therefore, the electric heater or the like becomes unnecessary. |
