PURPOSE:To quickly perform the operation processing by switching the mode to the normal write function mode or the bit selective write function mode only with a write command signal outputted together with address data by a control means. CONSTITUTION:In case of selection of the normal write mode or the bit selective write mode, data for mode designation is added to one bit of address data and the mode is discriminated by a chip selector 16. A signal generating circuit 17 or 18 to be used is selected to output a write clock CL1 or CL2. Consequently, it is sufficient when a CPU 11 outputs a write control signal to normal write and bit selective write signal generating circuits 17 and 18. As the result, it is unnecessary to set the different mode at each time of changing the write mode in the conventional manner. Thus, the time loss is eliminated to quickly perform the operation processing.
