A description is given of a photopolymerisable composition which contains, as essential ingredients,… a) a polymeric binder,… b) an acrylate or alkyl acrylate of a polyhydric alcohol containing one or more groups which can be photooxidised on exposure in the presence of photoreducible dyes and containing one or more urethane groups, and… c) a photoreducible dye as photoinitiator. …The composition is suitable for preparing printing plates and photoresists and is distinguished by an increased light sensitivity which can be increased further by adding a photolytically cleavable compound containing at least one trihalomethyl group.
