摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To automatically control a plate thickness with high accuracy and with high responsiveness by obtaining the variation of a roll gap correcting value from the deflection between a measured plate thickness and the plate thickness measured at preceding cycle and from a mill constant and a plastic coefficient of a material, then by obtaining a roll gap correcting value. CONSTITUTION:On the rolling mill to roll a rolled stock 1 by work rolls 10, 12 and backup rolls 14, 16, a rolling load Pn of said one pair of work roll 10, 12 is detected by a load cell 18 and a roll gap value S0 is detected by a magnescale 36, then, they are fetched by a sampler 20 in every arithmetic cycle. From these detected values, the plate thickness h(i) at its arithmetic cycle is calculated by an arithmetic circuit 22 and the deviation DELTAh(i) from the plate thickness h(i-1) of the preceding cycle from the memory circuit 24. Based on this deviation DELTAh(i), the mill constant K(i) and the plastic coefficient M(i) of the material, the variation DELTASOP(i) of the roll gap correcting value is calculated by an arithmetic unit 26 and this value is added on the correction value SOP(i-1) of the preceding cycle by an integration circuit 30. According to the roll gap correcting value SOP(i) at this arithmetic cycle obtained by this manner, the roll gap is controlled.</p>
