PURPOSE:To reduce noise caused by vibration, by attenuating vibrational energy with a sliding friction on the joint surface of ribs on the stator core side and on the stator frame side and in the collision between the end face of a rib on the stator side and a stator core. CONSTITUTION:A required number of axial ribs 3 are provided at uneven intervals along the outside circumferential surface of a laminated iron core 9. A stator core 1 is inserted into a stator frame 2 so that axial rigidity may be enhanced by welding the ribs 3 to press rings 4 on both sides with which the laminated core 9 is axially pressed. This stator frame 2 joints brackets 5 on both sides with the first rib 7a and the second rib 7b and is constituted by covering the outside circumference with a component 6 such as a cover. In the press ring 4 notch sections 8 are formed to the spots corresponding to ribs 7a and 7b of the stator frame 2.
