PURPOSE:To prevent an unreasonable data from being read out, even at the time of an access after the restoration of a system by adding a bit of chain information to respective divided data, only when all of the divided data are normally stored. CONSTITUTION:When the respective divided data is stored, the chain information to be added to the respective data is held temporarily and only when all of the divided data are stored normally, the held chain information is added to the respective data respectively. Accordingly, in the case of a system down during the storing operation of the respective divided data, due to the interruption of a power supply or the like since the data on the way of the storage is not added with the chain information yet, it becomes invalid. Thus, there is no fear that the unreasonable data is read out even at the time of access after the restoration f the system.
