PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a height adjusting device by connecting a resilient member to wheels, supporting the member at a position off the connection part, applying bending stress to the resilient member in a vertical direction and adjusting a height with vertical bending displacement. CONSTITUTION:When an upward bending stress has been applied to a part or a certain area of a leaf-spring hanger 11 from the upper or lower side via a load means as shown by an arrow mark 'F', the leaf-spring hanger 11 fixed to a car body 9 at an inner supporting point 'B' is deformed, thereby lifting an outer supporting point 'A'. Consequently, a wheel 1 moves upward relatively with the side of the car body 9 and a height is reduced. When the direction of the bending load 'F' is reversed, the height increases. According to the aforesaid constitution, a coil spring can be obviated and a snubber as a shock absorber proper can be adopted. And the height can be adjusted without any need of an amendment to the basic construction of the snubber and a suspension mechanism. |
