PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of burr and to increase the yield of production by cutting deeper and wider ring-shaped grooves than guide grooves in the inner and outer circumferential parts of a transfer die so that excess resin is discharged into the ring-shaped grooves when ultraviolet-curing resin is pressed through a glass substrate. CONSTITUTION:A transfer die 13 is composed of an Al plate and an Ni stamper 14 having many grooves on the Al plate. Deeper and wider ring-shaped grooves 15 than the guide grooves are cut in the inner and outer circumferential parts of the stamper 14. A prescribed amt. of ultraviolet-curing resin 11 is fed onto the die 13, a glass substrate 9 is pressed against the resin 11 and ultraviolet rays are radiated to form a transparent substrate. At this time, the excess resin 11 is discharged into the grooves 15 to prevent the formation of burr from the resin layer 11. When an underlayer, a recording layer and a protective layer are laminated on the formed substrate, a joined layer whose thickness is about twice the depth of the grooves 15 is formed. Thus, the yield of production can be increased.
