PURPOSE:To improve the charging efficiency of intake air by providing a bending part where fluid generates its separation on the inside surface of the peripheral wall of an intake port with plural vortex generators to reduce the inflow resistance of the intake air. CONSTITUTION:An intake device is composed of an intake pipe 1, a siamese port 2 formed of intake ports 3 communicating with the intake pipe 1, and intake valves 5 provided in the intake ports 3. In this case, a bending part on the peripheral wall 10 of the siamese port 2 is provided with plural vortex generators 11. Each vortex generator 11 is formed of two small plate-shaped members 11a fixed to the bending part 10a, for instance in upward spreading shape. Thus a mixture flow along the pipe wall of the intake pipe 1 flows into each vortex generator 11 to generate a static vortex C on its downstream side. The mixture flow therefore flows along the static vortex, and is drawn into the intake valve 5 in a laminar flow A without separating at the bending part 10a.
