Device for monitoring the fluid flow in flow lines

A device for monitoring the fluid flow in flow lines, in particular in a flow chamber of a drop infusion set of an infusion pump, is intended to interact with automatic measuring devices. The device contains an optoelectronic sensor whose radiation-source unit and detector unit are accommodated in separate housings which are connected to one another by a sleeve-shaped supporting beam. A clamping piece supported by a spring is placed on the supporting beam in a sliding manner. The radiation source and the detector are arranged in the optical passage, which forms a light gap which is formed by a cylindrical-concave lens which is fastened in the housing of the radiation source and by a cylindrical-spherical lens which is fastened in the housing of the detector. The radiation source and the detector are connected to an electronic circuit which contains a timing circuit which is connected to the supply source to which the electroluminescence diodes and the photo transistor are connected. The device is suitable for use under variable lighting conditions. <IMAGE>
