An individual built-in bath, in particular for use in households, has a shaping substructure (1), for example made of masonrywork lightweight building stones with a surface levelling layer. Situated on top of this is a manually shaped waterproofing layer (2), for example made of fibre-reinforced plastic. To make the bath as appealing as possible to look at and touch, a covering layer (3) is finally provided, for example made of bonded-on and jointed mosaic. Outlet fittings (4, 5) can be attached to the places best suited to the room circumstances. <IMAGE>
