A frame-clamping device is provided, having at least two clamping jaws and a clamping cord guided over the ... of the jaws, and having a gripping device for the clamping cord. The essential feature of the invention is that the gripping device (3) is an actuating bolt (12) which is prestressed by means of compression spring (15) and firmly grips the cord in the rest position. In a further embodiment, the actuating bolt (12), which is displaceably arranged in a blind-hole bore (13) of the gripping jaw (1), has a transverse bore (14) which, in the displaced position counter to spring force, can be brought into alignment with a guide bore (7) of the clamping cord (4). A particular advantage to be mentioned is that the device according to the invention can be actuated by simply pushing in the bolt (12) and that through the action of the compression spring (15) the bolt securely grips the loose end (6) of the cord (4). <IMAGE>
