<p>Method of regulating a leakage space in a valve which is designed with two sealing places which are arranged in series and, in the closed position of the valve, prevent overflow of fluids from one valve housing portion to the other, where the leakage space, which is arranged between the sealing places and through the valve housing, is connected to the surroundings of the valve, and where, in the closed position of the valve, the connection of the leakage space to an inner space in the valve housing parts is closed by means of a closing member which interacts with the two sealing places. In this way, it is ensured that the connection between the leakage space and the inner space can also be controlled in positions other than the closed position of the valve, as the connection between the leakage space and the inner space in the valve housing portions acts in the same manner in valve positions other than the closed position of the valve also as in the closed position by control by means of an arrangement substituting the closing member as regards the interaction of the latter with the leakage space. The apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that a locking member 5, which is arranged at the closing member 4 relatively movably in the direction of freedom of movement of the latter, regulates the connection between the leakage space 6 and the inner space 1, 2 (Figure 21). Furthermore, the possibility is afforded of a thorough flushing of a dynamic force-actuated packing in a valve, in particular a valve of the type indicated in the introduction, even in critical regions of the packing. <IMAGE></p> |
