PURPOSE:To obtain a recording matter which is free from generation of stains due to rubbing and transfer between recording media after recording in a short time, by providing a member which removes excess recording liquid remaining on the recording medium after recording. CONSTITUTION:A roller 12, which is composed of water-absorbent porous material, is forced onto a discharge roller 11 by energizing force of a spring 15 transmitted via roller arms 18 and arm support plates 19 at both ends thereof. Motive force is transmitted to the discharge roller 11 and a feed roller 8 via a gear train 17 from a motor 16. A reduction ratio of each gear of the gear train 17 is appropriately determined, a peripheral speed of the discharge roller 11 is made equal to or slightly higher than a peripheral speed of the feed roller 8, and a suitable tension is imparted to a recording medium 7. Since a recording part of the recording medium 7 is still in a half dry state until it reaches a position pinched between the discharge roller 11 and the roller 12, recording liquid remains in a liquid state on a recording surface. However, it is removed after coming into contact with the roller 12 and stains or the like caused by shortage of fixing after recording can be prevented. |
