PURPOSE:To improve output efficiency, and to miniaturize an ultrasonic motor by forming a slit from one surface of a stator, shaping a contact surface at a stepped section and fixing a piezoelectric element conducting vibrations in the thickness direction and the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:With an ultrasonic motor, a piezoelectric element 1 conducting vibrations in the thickness direction or the longitudinal direction is fastened vertically to the base of a stator 3 by a bolt 2. Slits 13 are formed to the reverse surface, to which the piezo-electric element 1 is fixed, in the stator 3, and a rotor 4 is mounted to the stator 3 as the state of pressure is left as it is by a machine screw 8 through a bearing 5, a washer 6, a spring 7, etc., on the reverse surface. Stepped sections 11 are shaped besides the slits 13 to the stator 3, and contact surfaces 10 are formed. Accordingly, when voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element 1 and the element 1 is driven, the stator 3 performs flexural vibrations in the slits 13 and a vector is generated on the contact surfaces 10, and the rotor 4 is turned. |
