PURPOSE:To make an editing work efficient by indicating a range continuing rows having the same height as a starting point within a range upon which the influence of an edited result is directly exerted by discriminating and displaying when a certain display character is specified as the starting point of edition. CONSTITUTION:Receiving an insertion command recognizing an editing row, a processor displays the editing row, so that an operator can easily discriminate it on a screen. After ending the insertion processing, the editing row discriminating display is deleted. Similarly in the case of deleting edition, the deleting processing is executed after recognizing an editing row and executing editing row discriminating display, and at the time of ending the processing, the editing row discrimination display is deleted. Consequently, the operator can be easily and accurately discriminate the editing row and the editing operation can be efficiently executed.
