PURPOSE:To obtain a flat bar having small strain and light weight and attached with replaceable slidable supporting member, by constructing the central part of a flat bar with a hollow iron material, forming slidable supporting members for both sides of the flat bar with a material separated from the hollow iron material and attaching the side-supporting member to both ends of the hollow material. CONSTITUTION:Slidable supporting members 11, 12 are detachably attached to both ends of a flat bar 10. The central part of the flat bar 10 is constructed with a hollow iron material. The slidable supporting members 11, 12 for both sides of the flat bar are constructed with cast or forged part separated from the hollow iron material and are integrated to both ends of the hollow material. The strain caused by casting is small even after attaching a carding cloth and the accuracy of needle heights can be improved.
