PURPOSE:To improve opening and closing operability, by a method wherein a pair of guide members, slidably engaged with guide rails, are situated to a tetragonal link with which a hinge device is formed, and the one of the guide members is energized so that it can be pressed against the guide rail. CONSTITUTION:A hinge device 30 is mounted to the rear side of the door opening of a car body. In this case, the hinge device 30 is formed with a base plate 31 secured to a door opening part, a pair of swing link members 32 and 33, coupled to the base plate 31 and swung in a state to hold a parallel state therebetween, and a coupling member 34, intercoupling the swing link members 32 and 33. A pair of guide members are mounted to the coupling member 34 in a state to be vertically separated from each other. Namely, a bearing 35 is situated as the upper guide member, and is engaged with a surface 23 to be guided of a guide rail 22, installed on the inner surface of a slide door, so that it can roll. A roller 36 is located as the lower guide member, and is engaged with an energizing means 40 so that it can be pressed against the surface 23 to be guided.
