NEW MATERIAL:A heptaene V-28-3M having following the physicochemical charateristics. Property: yellow powder; Elementary analysis (%): C 58.95, H 7.64, N 2.39; Molecular weight [FABMS, (M+H<+>)]: 1127; Molecular formula: C59H86N2O19; Specific rotatory power: [alpha]D<20>=+296 (0.1% DMSO); Melting point: browning at 135 deg.C; Insoluble in water, diethyl ether, hexane and chloroform, sparingly soluble in methanol, ethanol and n-butanol and soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide and DMF; color reaction: positive to phenol-sulfuric acid, ninhidrin, conc. sulfuric acid and iodine and negative to ferric chloride. USE:An antifungal agent with low toxicity. PREPARATION:For example, a diazomethane solution is added to a suspension of streptomyces arenae V-23-3 (FERM P-8099) in methanol at ice temperature and stirred at room temperature for 30min to carry out reaction. |
