PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent cosmetic capable of decomposing aged protein of skin, by compounding a low-temperature protease extracted from krill with a surfactant or alcohols. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic contains (A) a low-temperature protease extracted from krill and (B) a surfactant (e.g. sodium dodecylsulfate) or alcohols (e.g. ethanol). The low-temperature protease contains two kinds of proteases having molecular weight of about 50,000 and about 33,000 and exhibiting exoprotease activity and endoprotease activity, respectively, has optimum temperature range at a low temperature (5-20 deg.C) and is resistant to NaCl. It can be produced by adding physiological phosphoric acid buffer solution to krill, homogenizing the mixture and filtering and concentrating the product. It can be compounded to various cosmetics such as shampoo, rinse, face cream, soap, dentifrice, hair tonic, lipstick and facial pack. |
